alen a375uv multi gas hepa air purifier

Buy alen A375UV Air Purifier for sale & Best Price!!!

Product Description

The A375UV Multi Gas HEPA provides the sterilization power of two ultraviolet lights with PCO (Photo-Catalytic Oxidation) technology which remove VOCs from the air and uses safe ionization to remove dust without producing ozone. (For all of us non-chemical engineers, VOCs are the vapors that items like glue, formaldehyde and some aresols emit and they are bad for you.) The A375UV Multi Gas HEPA removes those invisible yet harmful fumes so you can breathe clean air and at a price that helps you breathe a bit easier too. In addition to removing bacteria and dangerous VOCs, the second filter, an activated carbon filter removes pesky odors. And how do you know it's done it's job? alen thought of that, too! The A375UV has odor and dust sensors that make this model a self-monitoring powerhouse. It can be mounted on the wall, freeing up valuable floor space in your home or business. Imagine being able to clean the air in 800 square feet with just one powerful unit! And the A375UV A remote control feature gives you complete control from anywhere in the room and four fan speeds and a eight hour timer allow you to customize air purification at any time.

We bought this filter for our new apartment after several weeks of feeling terrible (congestion, puffy watery eyes, feeling tired, coughing, etc.) because we knew there was some sort of non-hazardous mold and dust combo at the root of it. This puppy looked like it'd do the trick, and for 6 days, we felt awesome. It worked very well! But on day seven the rotator inside this thing literally fell off the axle and ceased to work any longer. We were unable to fix it ourselves, and we found that once we opened up the packaging, we owned it. No returns were permitted, but we were allowed to pay for S+H back to the manufacturer for them to fix it. [...] The problem I have with this item is that the price is six times our cheap filters', and Alen's ghetto manufacturer hotline and inability to provide us with a new, working filter, indicates it shouldn't be worth this much.

Customer Buzz
works great - had none of the problems others have voiced - ordered a 375 after good results from a 350 because it has a couple more features which I have found useful since i recieved it

Customer Buzz
Do recommend to anyone who want to have a portable air purifier. It is easy to operate and use. It really work great for a smaller space. We love it.

Customer Buzz
I have been looking at and searching for a decent air purifying unit for at least 3 years, I find the cost runs way to high and the looks of the unit definitely wasn't designed by anyone with designing taste! And even though the germicidal UV light should be completely hidden from view most of the air filtering UV units I have looked at had obvious glowing of the eye damaging UV lighting.
Now for my review of this item,

The looks-acceptable.
Noise level-acceptable on low speed during sleeping.
Controls and adjusting-My wife has no problems working it! (Now that says a lot!)
The Glowing of the UV lights-Almost literally impossible to see!
Does it work?-my wife thinks Claritin cured her of her allergies. It took about 6 to 8 weeks letting it run 24-7 but it will clean up the impurities in the house and before you know it your not sneezing! Well it worked for me wife.
Would I buy another unit-Yes if needed.
The cost- acceptable
My only problem with it is "How would I know if one of the UV germicidal lights go out?"
I'm the type of person that probably never give out 5 stars to nothing, but I will give out 9.5 out of a 10 point scale for this item.

I researched this product online and decided to take a chance ($500?!)...figured I had 30 days to decide. I waited a bit impatiently for it to arrive but when it did I immediately ripped open the package, plugged it in and....NOTHING. The thing wouldn't even power on. I'm sure it's just a fluke but for the money I decided not try this company again.

My husband and I bought this to slice roast to make beef jerky. Although we haven't had a chance to do that we have used it a couple of times for ham and it worked great.

Clean up was a breeze, way easier then our old one. My husband does wish that they would change the style of the part that holds the meat but that is minor.

We really like it and think that it was worth the money. We haven't had it long enough to say anything about longevity.

I read reviews on all of Chef's Choice Food Slicers before I selected this model. I am very pleased with it. I have had other smaller slicers and did not use them very often because of difficulty in getting them as clean as I think they should be. The blade is easy to remove and it is easy to clean behind it. I keep this slicer where it is easy to get to and use it often. My husbank even uses it.Chef's Choice 632 International Gourmet VariTilt Electric Food Slicer

I did a good deal of research prior to my purchase of the Chef's Choice 632 and indeed I got the right product. It's a great slicer, well made, clean's up easily and performs as advertised. I've done everything from Hams and Cheese, even bread, thick or thin it does a great job. Yes, it's a little more than I want to pay for a slicer, but I have no regrets...

Customer Buzz
I ordered and recieved this slicer just before the superbowl 09 and it works as described is easy to clean,I wish the smooth blade and cover came with this. The moose roast we cooked was superb sliced thin after cooling and this slicer makes cheddar better(and go farther)than a normal knife or processor.Hor'dourves delight for cheese, fruit, meat and some vegies. Also Amazon+USPS shipping is great!!!

Customer Buzz
We are so happy with this slicer. We use it everyday, slicing homemade bread, meat, veggies and lettuce. By using this slicer, we feel our food
stretches much further e.g. slicing bread thinner, slicing cheaper cuts of
meat. We feel we have not only cut down on food purchases but also eating
less since everything can be cut thin. We would highly recommend this
product.

Customer Buzz
I always wanted to have an electric slicer, way before we could find ones that are not commercial grade and incredibly expensive. I love carpaccio and roast beef, and wanted to be able to make them at home. While I could make roast beef, I could never slice is nice and thin like they do at the deli, which eventually just turned me off and I gave up on it.

A few years ago, I bought my first slicer, from another brand. It was ok, but not so great and it was so hard to clean it that I just ended up losing the interest in using it.

Then I found this slicer here on Amazon and read through the reviews. When I read someone saying they could use it for carpaccios, I decided I just had to get it!

So, here are the PROS:

- It will slice meat really thin and easily, as long as it it frozen (not rock hard, but firm enough that it will hold its shape while cutting the meat).

- It is not very heavy, even though it is a sturdy little machine.

- Cleaning is pretty easy.

- Removing and re-installing the blade is very easy and safe, the blade has a mechanism that opens a little piece to hold it from.

- It tilts, making it easier to slice without having to use as much pressure with your hand to keep the meat in place.

- It seems to slice better, as in making the meat that is still uncut flatter and easier to cut through all the way to the end of the piece. (If you have had a slicer that is not as good in the past, you probably know what I mean. The meat just seems to slip and cut at an angle, maybe the piece that holds it is not as good, but I have a feeling that the tilting is what does the trick in this one.)

- It looks nice, someone told me last weekend that it actually looks like the ones you see at the deli.

CONS - I can't come up with any!

Now, a previous reviewer said that in order to cut meats really thin, like carpaccios, you needed to get the non-serrated blade, which I did. But I received the slicer before I received the blade so I first used it with the regular blade that comes with it. To be honest, I regretted purchasing the non-serrated blade. Don't take me wrong, there is nothing wrong with it, but it just really wasn't necessary. I was slicing carpaccios and smoked roast beef for a couple of days, with no problem at all, using the serrated blade.

The same reviewer also mentioned that storing the blade that is not in use is a problem, since there is no case for it and they are both very, very sharp. Well, being aware of the issue, I just opened the plastic container carefully when I received the additional blade and keep whatever blade I am not using at the time in it. I even put an elastic band holding it shut, so there is really no problem there.

Now, when I posted a review about a grill, I had someone leave a comment asking for my recipe for the roast I make and it took me a couple of months to see the comment there. So I thought I'd post here how I make my carpaccios, which is really easy and, at $2.49/lb for the eye of round roast at the current sale at my grocery store, beats the hell out of paying $15 at the restaurant for one carpaccio alone... Not to mention that it's a nice, healthy and filling meal! :)

Homemade Carpaccio

- Buy an eye of round roast.

- Trim the roast really well, removing all the fat, etc. from the outside, but don't cut or slice it. (I actually usually cut the end that is thinner - about 1/3 of the length of the roast- and use that for roast beef, since you can't get full-sized slices from it)

- Put the trimmed piece in a plastic bag and leave it in the freezer for at least a few hours so it becomes frozen and firm.

- If you left the meat in the freezer for a day or longer, make sure you take it out of the freezer and leave it in one of the fridge drawers for a few hours before preparing the carpaccio so the meat is still frozen and firm but not hard as a rock.

- Get a large plate (the larger the better!) and put it next to the slicer.

- Start slicing the meat as thin as you can, without shredding it, and placing the slices on the plate. You are trying to cover the surface of the plate with a thin layer of sliced meat, so be organized. Starting from the edge of the plate, make a circle covering that area with slices that overlap slightly. Once you got that circle closed, start another one more towards the center of the plate and keep doing that until you place the last piece covering the center of the plate.

- Sprinkle some salt and ground black pepper to taste all over the meat.

- Squeeze the juice of one whole lemon (or more if you want) on top of the meat, make sure you get some of the juice on all the slices. You can use a lime too if you prefer, I prefer the lemon myself.

- Prepare some Good Seasons Italian dressing mix, or if you already have some mixed in your fridge, use that.

- In a small container, mix the salad dressing with a little bit of Grey Poupon course mustard. You can mix this to taste, but you want the end product to be a creamy, dressing-like consistency.

- Drizzle this mustard dressing over the carpaccio to taste.

- Sprinkle shredded (not ground) parmesan cheese on top.

And you're ready! :)

Enjoy!

The size and weight of this slicer make it easy to move from it's storage in the pantry to the counter area for use. It is up to the task for us when slicing cooked meats for sandwiches and leftovers. It is easy to use and adjust. The movement of the slide arm is very easy. We found it to be very easy for clean up as well. It is everything we wanted

Customer Buzz
Bought this slicer for beef jerky and vegetable slicing for dehydrating. Slices through semi-frozen beef without hesitation and slices evenly. Sliced "chipped" some turkey ham for sandwiches - just like deli-prepared slices. Super easy to clean. Tilting mechanism takes some getting used to for locking in place. Used oven cleaner to clean off the factory lubrication since I had no idea what it was made from - followed with hot sudsy water. Doesn't take too much room on my counter. I'd buy this slicer again. Oh, used the smooth blade, not the serrated. I have no idea when/if I will ever use that blade.

Customer Buzz
I originally ordered the Chef's Choice 610 model and found many awful reviews, for example it couldn't cut prosciutto thin enough and the thinnest it was able to cut was the same thickness as sliced bacon you'd buy in a pack at the supermarket. Now after hearing all this I decided not to keep it and didn't even use it because I didn't want to take the risk of not being able to return it. So at that moment I went online and looked up some higher models. The 620 was lookin pretty snazzy, but it didn't have the tilt function that the 632 had (mind you that there was also a 630 model yet it also lacked the tilt function as well). And if there's one thing I know from all the research I'd done on slicers, it's that a tilt function makes usage so much easier because you're not pushing the meat on a horizontal surface. You just let gravity take it's toll while giving a nudge to the meat or whatever you're cutting, and voila! out comes beautiful and equally sliced pieces! Okay I'm geting wordy now, back to the subject. I used the slicer and tried cutting some rib eye I marinated the night before in some teriyaki sauce (Thanks Outback!). I set it to the thinnest possible amount that I would be able to slice and man was that thin. I meat it wasn't like "see-through" thin but it was damn thin. I think I've found a new way to make bulgogi too by the way (a korean bbq dish). I sliced turkey, cheese, salami, lettuce, onions, human flesh (okay so maybe I didn't do a human but i think this slicer has the ability!...geez) and every time it came out "fantastico". My opinion...BUY IT! I'm from north jersey and love deli meats. Now that I'm out in california I get frustrated dealing with awful dry shriveled deli meats that are sold at safeway and etc. If you can get your hands on some "thumanns" deli meats (only sold in tristate area) those are awesome to slice too. Anyway, bottom line is I love my slicer and I'm glad I bought it cuz I just checked the website and there's only 3 left!

"Hurry up and buy!" [spoken in the most chinese accent I can enunciate]

This is an excellent slicer for home use. Whether slicing homemade
bread or roast beef, this slicer is up for the job. I would reccomend
it for any home kitchen !

Customer Buzz
I finally found a vacuum that I ENJOY using; that works; that doesnt give me grief every time I use it. Check out my other reviews to see what Ive been through with all the other uprights Ive owned. Im so glad to switch to a bagged canister vac. I was so worried to spend this much money on a vac and then have issues with it like my others but this one was worth every penny so far. I bought the Miele Callisto at my local vacuum place - it was the least expensive model that was good with pet hair...I had it going on a year so far and I still LOVE it. I named her Rocket Dog. She follows me around the house like a loyal little companion. The motorized carpet head is great on carpets. The bare floor head is great on bare floors. The menuverablility is AWESOME...the way the head swivels around furniture legs and lamps and fits under things is just great. The adjustability in the length of the wand is easy and a pleasure (just push of a button). LOVE LOVE LOVE retractable cord!!! All parts are sturdy and solid...No clouds of dirt and dust in your face like you get when you empty a bagless. When you need to change the bag you just open, release bag, slide it out (theres even a thing that you can pull down on the bag to cover the hole so dirt doesnt puff out of it), and toss it away. But the BEST PART is when you put a new bag in...just slide it into the slot and slam the lid shut - DONE!! On all my previous bagged uprights it took like 10 min to wrestle with the collar of the bag to push it onto the hole - you know what Im talking about. This vacuum is heaven in that regard. Yes the bags are expensive BUT I have found that they hold a lot more dirt than you'd expect. Im approaching a year with this vac and I have just started on my 2nd box of bags. So that has not been as bad as I had thought. (those of you with bagless vacs, these bags hold a ton more dirt because they compact it all). So far this vac has been a PLEASURE. Thank you ROCKET DOG!!

Customer Buzz
I read all the reviews on Amazon and googled other web pages. I have been thinking about getting a new vac for 2+ years, waited because of the price. Bit the bullet and went to the local dealer store in the next town(Dublin Vacuum, Dublin, CA)for a test. I was planning to buy a lower priced model that did not have a power brush. Vacuumed the carpets there and liked the small powered head that came with the Callisto. Both heads work very well, power for carpets and parquet for hardwood floor. My other vacuum was a 20+ year old Hoover (hand me down) and I never had such nice clean carpets. I don't sneeze when I vacuum and the machine is easy to use. I hope the vacuum lasts a long time so I don't have to buy a new one.

Customer Buzz
i purchased my first miele 11 years ago after the salesman talked me out of spending [...] for a hoover. he said that miele construction was of much higher quality for 'only' another [...]. back then i still remember thinking 'wow, i can't believe i spent [...] for a VACUUM'. well, fast forward 11 years later, i no longer live in my tiny apartment but in a 5-bdrm house, and my miele vacuum is still going strong! i recently finished my basement, so i researched some upright vacuums to handle the carpeting down there. in the end i decided to use my old miele for that area and bought this one for the rest of the house. it's much more advanced than my old model (mine didn't have a hepa filter), but i fully expect at least another 10 years from this canister. i'm sold on miele for life!!

Customer Buzz
I've only had my Callisto with the SEB236 power brush for a week. I had bought a used Kirby Ultimate G off of eBay just a month ago. I had always wanted a Kirby. Then, I discovered Miele thanks to killdirt.com. I bought mine from an allergy website, tax free and free shipping!
Maneuvering this vacuum is easy as far as canisters go. I have no problem cleaning my stairs with it. I also am able to clean my stairs with the SEB236, then go around the edges with the crevice tool.
Changing tools is a snap. Suction is phenomenal, so is the sound at full power. It isn't nearly as loud as other vacs. I also have a Dyson Animal. I don't want another bagless vacuum. The Dyson only has suction on one side. I also can't stand the ratchet sound the Dyson makes on rugs!
I love the hard floor brush. I have hardwood and ceramic tile. Even the wheels on the canister seem harmless on my hardwood floor.
I wanted a vacuum that was true HEPA, meaning sealed so that all exhaust exits via the HEPA filter. If you're vacuuming, why should ANY dust be blown back into the air to settle on your furniture, back into the carpet, and into your lungs?
I bought the Callisto because I didn't need the more expensive models with the electronic suction control on the hose and the indicator to tell me when to change the HEPA filter. I can make a note of that. The Callisto is all you need if you want a Miele vacuum with a power nozzle.
The SEB 236 nozzle has very cool lighting. It also has 5 levels of height adjustment. Excellent vacuum!

Customer Buzz
I was feeling sick being at my home and tried many vacuums but they usually didn't lasted very long and constantly needed belt replacements or other repairs. Besides you had to vacuum vacuum itself all the time. Besides all current vacuum cleaners took very wrong direction- almost all of them are bagless these days. I would never purchase bagless vacuum in my life. First of all it is better to dump a bag and put another one. Second all these dust particles will not end up at your home again after you dumped all dirt from bagless vacuum collection tray. I also like canister vacuums. They are very popular in Europe. Upright ones might save some space but they vacuum worse.
After I unpacked my Miele Callisto I was surprised that all labels stated that it is made in Germany. That is quality people! Everything is made in China these days and quality for most part suffers. This vacuum is made like a tank. It will last you a lifetime. Everything is outstanding quality.
Now about vacuuming part. After first try I noticed that something happened - air in a room was incredible! I stopped sneezing and coughing. Vacuum is sealed and it has HEPA filter. HEPA filter catches 100% dust. Check out youtube videos. It is the only vacuum (at least made for household use) who has true HEPA filter. Everyone else is just imposing that.

Now about minuses. Fist of all is price. More than $[...] is probably one of the most expensive vacuums on a market. However you have to divide this price to the expected years of use. I think this vacuum will last you at least 10 years. Still it is not easy decision to spend so much money. Second thing I dislike is how heavy is stick which connect vacuum hose and vacuuming head. It is made of I think aluminum and has power cord inside so that is the reason why it is so heavy. But it will withstand some abuse and regular use too. Third thing is that while it is quiet it is still quite loud- most of the noise comes from power head (if you turn it on) than vacuum itself. Fourth thing I dislike is confusing marketing. For example what is the difference between series 5 (Callisto and others) vs series 4? And what is the difference among Callisto and other models of series 5? It seems that colors and a few minor things are the main difference. Also electric or air powered nozzles. In my opinion air powered nozzles are more than sufficient. I think I should have purchased either Miele Pisces (series 5) or series 4 Antares instead. That is the difference of >200-300 dollars. I bought it from miele.com, they have 30 days return policy. I think I will exchange it. In any case Miele is the best.

Just do your lungs a favor and buy Miele vacuum. It leaves any dysons or other Chinese assembled vacuums in a dust. Beware that heavy marketing is not equal to the true performance. I am very surprised that I started to like vacuuming!

Customer Buzz
Bought this Miele S5280 Callisto Galaxy Vacuum and it is incredible. It has all the German engineering you would expect and performance exceeds all expectations.

Customer Buzz
Unlike many of the other vacuums on the market which are made of cheap plastic and designed to last only a couple of years, this vacuum is very well engineered and put together. They use much better polymers in their parts and the whole thing is clearly well built. It's more expensive than others but worth every penny. I actually like vacuuming now! It's sooooo quiet compared to others I've heard and the sound it does make is much more pleasing that the high pitched noise usually heard. What an improvement from the $500 Electrolux we used to have. I can actually hear the stereo playing now when I work.

One of the best features of this vac is the head for hard floors. It has a ball joint on it that allows you to control the head as if it were your own hand at the end of the wand. You've really got to try it to believe it. Before you shell out money for any other vac, you've got to make it to a dealer and give it a try. I walked into the dealer thinking I wanted a Riccar or a Sebo or a Dyson, or maybe one of the better Hoovers, but was totally convinced after just 5 minutes with the Miele.

I negociated with a local dealer and was able to get the larger carpet head instead of the smaller one that usually comes with this model for the same price ($800). Some people may prefer the smaller head to get into smaller spaces, but I liked the bigger one as it's more substancial and covers more area in one pass.

Either way, you will ***LOVE*** this machine.

Customer Buzz
Ok, I know - it's just a vacuum, but if you're like me and have gone through 4 or 5 other vacuums and have always been disappointed - I guarantee you: the Miele will not let you down. You can see online demonstrations of it's sealed canister system at YouTube, which for allergy sufferers or others concerned about vacuums that just recirculate the dirt, is of utmost importance. But beyond that, this is just one beautiful little machine. If you've shelled out hundreds for a Dyson only to be disappointed by it's flimsy plastic construction, you will be impressed by the Miele. Every piece is solid - especially the wand which is so sturdy and well crafted it feels more like a precision built part for a fighter jet than a part for a vacuum. The only downside to this sturdy construction is that it does make the wand a bit heavy, but I will take that over flimsy construction any day. I have had vacuums so loud you couldn't hear the phone ring if it was right next to you - this one is so amazingly quiet you'll think that it can't possibly have good suction, but it does! Quiet, powerful, with a sealed container, true HEPA filtration and a cloth bag (not paper) which self seals when you remove it from the canister as well as unbelievable construction make this vacuum worth every penny!

Customer Buzz
This vacuum has been great so far. It is very quiet and although I did not consider noise level to be important, I wish that I had a Miele when my children were small (napping). I use this along with a Roomba and my floors have never been cleaner. DO NOT BUY AN ELECTROLUX. I have always owned them but they sold their name to another company. Sadly, I own two newer ones. They are junk now and will be going into the trash. I cannot speak to the longevity of the Miele, but I can tell you it is very well made and it is the best vacuum for hardwood floors I have ever used. I did not get the "turbo" brush so I do have to push a little harder when cleaning rugs, but it is gooD exercise!

Customer Buzz
This economy level Miele model, as all the same cleaning ability as the more expensive models, Aquarius, and Capricorn, just without the electronic controls. The machine comes packaged with their mid-size power nozzle, the 217-3. This nozzle is great for medium-low pile carpets, and cleaning bare floors. This nozzle is so versitale you won't have to switch cleaning head going from your rugs to your bare floor, just simply flip the switch on the hose. The only surface this nozzle struggles on is the thicker carpets. You will feel like you have just worked out in the gym for 30 minutes, if you have to vacuum thick carpet with this nozzle. If you have thick carpets, or substantial pet hair, you'll want to move into a machine that comes with the larger 236 power nozzle. We have sold Miele's for long time, and we don't hesitate to put our name behind them. The best canister money can buy! Expect 25+ years of use out of this vacuum.
